In an NHL first, a brother has been traded for a brother.

Brett Ritchie is going to Arizona while his brother Nick comes to Calgary.

Brett's the older brother by two years at 29 and is due to become an Unrestricted Free Agent at the end of the season.

He has six goals and two assists in 34 games this season with the Flames while his 27-year-old brother has nine goals and twelve assists in 58 games.

Nick could also become a UFA at the end of this season as his 2-year contract was set to expire.

The Flames also picked up defenseman Troy Stecher, seven assists in 61 games, in the trade and sent defenseman Connor Mackey to the Coyotes.

And the Flames also acquired Toronto Maple Leafs forward Dryden Hunt for forward Radim Zohorna who's played most of this season with the Calgary Wranglers but did get in 8 games with the Flames.
