Prime Minister Justin Trudeau swore in his new cabinet this afternoon.

Some of the big portfolios haven't changed.

Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan, Ag Minister Marie Claude Bibeau and Finance Minister Bill Morneau all remain with their original portfolios.

Francois-Phillipe Champagne will take over as Foreign Affairs Minister as the former Minister, Chrystia Freeland now focuses on domestic issues as she moves into the position of Intergovernmental affairs as well as taking the title of Deputy Prime Minister.

The new Cabinet boasts 37 ministers, and gender parity once again, as well as introduces several rookies into the fold.
