Electors in four communities in Vulcan County will get to cast ballots for their respective councils.

There are six candidates running for three council seats in Arrowwood: Colin Bexte, Matt Crane, Clydine E. Grenier, Jonathan Donald Kuntz, Nicholas Kuntz and Kevyn Stevenson.

In Champion there are also six candidates who've put their names forward for five council seats: Tabatha Guoy, Marsha Mason, Terry Penney, Nathan Schmeelke, James Smith and Trevor Wagenvoort.

In Carmangay, one candidate will find themselves on the outside after the election with four candidates running for the three seats: Sue Dahl, Doug Fraser, Kimberley Nichols and Sheila Smidt.

Same story in Milo with four candidates contesting the three spots on council: Dean Melnyk, Patrick Wiens, and incumbents Scott Schroeder and Sheldon Walker.

Lomond won't have to have a municipal election since all three incumbents, Brad Koch, Robert Donnelly and Craig Stokes, were elected by acclamation to the three council seats.

While there’s no municipal election in Lomond, village residents will be able to vote on the province’s referendum questions on equalization and Daylight Saving Time as well as for Alberta’s three senate nominees.
