High River RCMP have laid charges against a pair of men they say were involved in the armed robbery of the Alberta Treasury Branch in Blackie on Friday.

Jeffery Axel Forslund, 43, and Melvin Gilbert Stinert, 38, are both facing armed robbery charges, among others.

Police say Forslund is suspected in the robbery of four other banks, including one in Acme, Alliance, Linden and Onoway stretching back to June 9.

Stinert faces a further two charges of flight from police and breach of probation.

Both are of no fixed address.

Forslund will appear in Edmonton Provincial Court Thursday, while both will be in court in Okotoks Friday to face these latest charges.
