High River RCMP are urging everyone to keep an eye out for mischief around road construction projects.

Constable Jill Kingdon Mills says they've received a number of calls.

"We're still in construction season, we've got those big projects up in the Hampton's area, they're coming along but they're still working on them and we've been getting reports that people are going into the construction zone and causing problems."

"That could be with stealing construction signs, moving construction signs feeling like it's OK to enter the heavy equipment and mess about with it," she says.

She says while people may think it's funny it can be dangerous because the signs are there to warn drivers of what's ahead and when they're removed that creates a safety hazard.

Survey stakes have also been moved.

She says moving or taking the stakes just delays the project because it has to be surveyed again.
