The On-Air Team from The Eagle 100.9 headed over to the Dairy Queen in Okotoks to participate in Miracle Treat Day 2018! Miracle Treat Day is held annually in North America whereby all net proceeds from every Blizzard Treat sold at participating DQ locations will be donated to a local Children's Miracle Network member hospital. The proceeds from the Okotoks DQ will be donated to the Alberta Children's Hospital this year. If you have not already done so, make sure you stop by your local DQ for a delicious treat that not only tastes good... but also does good!

Dairy Queen has been celebrating Miracle Treat Day for the past sixteen years, raising funds which remain local in order to help fund clinical treatments, healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, and charitable care. To date, more than $135 million has been raised through donations from DQ Fans and franchisees! Thanks to the generosity of local DQ stores and those who participated, over $2 million will be donated to Children's Miracle Network member hospitals across Canada. These donations will help provide support for over 2.3 million patient visits each year to local Children's Miracle Network member Hospitals!

If you would like to learn more about all of the wonderful work that the Children's Miracle Network has done throughout Canada, be sure to visit https://www.miracletreatday.ca/

Be sure to check out the video and images below; from Tom Barker and Logan Coutts making some delicious Blizzards, to Dave Elder enjoying the treats! Thanks to the all the staff at Dairy Queen for inviting us to participate and trusting us with the ice cream machine. Also a GIANT thanks to everyone in the Okotoks community that came out to participate in the day!
