The weather was excellent on Tuesday at the Calgary Stampede, and we saw some solid scores and times from locals.

In Saddle Bronc it was Millarville's Layton Green with a ride of 87.00 to take the top spot of the day.  He's also first in the aggregate after two days and they have only one more day to qualify for the finals on Sunday. Quinten Taylor of Nanton also had a solid ride and is now in 3rd in the aggregate.

Also, from Nanton is Ty Taypotat and in Bareback he was able to stay on for 8 seconds however with a score of 80.50 he tied for seventh on the day and sits well outside of the top three.

In Bull Riding it was busy with four Canadians with Jordan Hansen, originally from Okotoks, was one of three athletes to stay on for 8 and picked up some day money. Jared Parsonage from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan held on to the number one spot.

Jonny Webb from Okotoks got into some penalty trouble in steer wrestling and finished with a time of 14.3 seconds moving well out of the top three.

And in Barrel Racing, Longview's Kylie Whiteside came through the finish line in 8th place and well back of the top riders.

The athletes and stock get set for day six at 1:30 p.m.
