The fate of a huge development proposed to go along Dunbow Road in Foothills County is on hold.

The site is on the east end of Dunbow Road and touches on the boundaries of the city of Calgary and Rocky View County.

It'll include parks, trails, commercial property and about 4,000 estate, single family and multi-family homes built in phases over several years.

The plan for the development was brought forward by Walton and shows plans for a 553 acre sub-division at the east end of Dunbow Road bordering the Bow River.

A number of historic resources were found, including a buffalo jump and associated campsite on the eastern boundary.

A public hearing on the plan went close to six hours Wednesday January 18th.

Reeve Delilah Miller says there's a lot of information for councillors to go over so it's been put over to a meeting in February.
