Okotoks' Main Street Market is hoping for a better 2021.

Market Owner Bobbie Jean Forno says they are like a big family so it will be nice to get back to it.

"We're a tight family, we have everyone in the store but we also have our own personal group in the market that each of the vendors feed off each other and work together, so if someone has a customer coming to them they can refer them to another vendor.

Forno says in the new year they are hoping to be able to add a few new vendors to the market.

"It depends on if we get the shoppers in the door or not, we are open to keep things fresh and full. We already have some new vendors interested in joining our market so we will always have something different available."

The pandemic has made online shopping much more common and Forno says moving online will be another goal for the market in 2021.

"We tried to do it during the first lockdown but got overwhelmed with how busy it was, we are definitely working towards online shopping and getting that built, a lot of our vendors already have their own online shopping experience so we are pushing to get them acknowledged on the Main Street Market page as well."
