Two water skiing sisters from the Foothills are set to compete at the Pan Am Championships this week.
Megan and Sofia Pelkey will represent Canada at the 2022 IWWF (International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation) Pan American Water Ski Championships in Santiago, Chile.
The championships run from Tuesday, Nov. 29 until Saturday, Dec. 3.
Older sister Megan will compete in the U17 division while younger sister Sofia will compete in U14.
They're both competing in the slalom, trick, jump and overall events with individual scores also counting towards the overall team score.
This will be Sofia's first international competition with Megan having won 1st in U14 Girls Overall, 3rd in U14 Girls Slalom, and 2nd in U14 Girls Jump.
The Pan Am Championships are held every two years.
