It's been just over a month since Calgary musician, Amy Bishop, dropped the soulful, relatable masterpiece that is her eighth studio album 'Perfect & Broken'.

An album that has the unique 'Amy Bishop' sound fans know and love but a story and message that differs from the previous work she's put out into the world.

Within the last four years Bishop has changed it up a bit, personal experiences she once kept to herself she no longer shies away from sharing through her latest music.

Sharing her truth was not only self-realization but something that was encouraged by friends, fellow musicians and even Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx.

I caught up with Amy over Zoom and we talked about everything from how getting personal on her newest album can be therapeutic, what it was like collaborating with Motley Crue's bassist and if her kids will follow in her musical footsteps. She even was kind enough to perform 'Love, Trust & Pixie Dust' from her album (one of my faves!).

Check it out below!

Definitely take a listen to Amy's new album 'Perfect & Broken' and check her next performance out at Tribal Connection in Okotoks on April 23rd.
