Southern Alberta landowners are disappointed they can't take part in an upcoming public hearing.

The EUB has ruled several groups that applied for standing to discuss a Claresholm area gas well have been denied.

John Cross with the Pekisko Group says upcoming development in Southern Alberta will have a broad impact on landowners and municipalities alike.

"The wells that are going to be drilled are going to be at a lot higher density than they have been in the past and going to require a lot more traffic and services to the developments".

Cross says it's unfortunate more Albertans will have input in the hearings.
