This year’s Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie campaign wraps up on Sept. 25.

During the annual event, all proceeds from sales of their cookies, adorned with icing smiles, are donated to local charitable organizations.

In Okotoks, proceeds will go to the Optimist Club.

The Okotoks Optimist Club posted an update on Wednesday, showing just over 7000 cookies had been purchased so far.

Proceeds from the High River campaign will be donated to the Southern Alberta Neonatal Intensive Care in Calgary and in Claresholm the funds raised go to Foothills Community Support Services.

A new local record was set last year, with $7,350 raised in High River.

Donations are also accepted for those who want to contribute without purchasing cookies.
