Total raised as of 5 p.m. - $63,934

Thursday (June 24) is a huge day for the Sheep River Health Trust as it marks the annual Together We Make a Difference Radiothon.

The Eagle 100.9 hosts Logan Coutts and Shayne Hill, along with health trust members and supporters, are broadcasting live from the radio station's parking lot from 6 a.m. - 7 p.m. All proceeds will go towards fundraising for local health and wellness initiatives.

This is the eighth year for the event which is supporting six organizations this year, the Okotoks Public Library, Helping Families Handle Cancer, It Takes a Village, Rising Sun Long Term Care's patio refurbishment as well as two projects for Oilfields General Hospital - a portable ultrasound machine and funds for a Sharp Aquos Board.

Last year, the radiothon raised just over $43,000.

In total, about $400,000 has been raised.

Donations can be made by:
- Dropping off donations in person at The Eagle 100.9
- Text HEALTH to 45678 to donate $25
- Call 587-284-7055 to become a "Health Hero"
- All proceeds of the automatic car wash at Trident Car Wash on June 24
- Shop at Sobeys Okotoks and donate $2 at the till until June 26
- Shop at Blonde Ambition. Proceeds this month are going to the radiothon

Four food trucks will also be on location: Mini Donuts, Bubs Classic Grill, Perogy Boys, and Apreas Ranch will be joining in, as well as four local vendors: Norwax, Sunshine Soap Co, Mandies Makes, and Scentsy.
