Hundreds upon hundreds of shoeboxes were packed with toys and other fun items for the Christmas Shoebox campaign by Samaritan's Purse.
Frank King with the organization says the support from High River, Okotoks and surroundings was outstanding.
"Such a blessing that the fine folks of High River packed 639 shoeboxes for children in need, and the folks in Okotoks packed 1140 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes this year. So, to all those folks we say thank you so much."
Over 10 million shoeboxes were packed around the world including over 415,000 packed in Canada.
Alberta packed the second most shoeboxes out of the other Canadian provinces with only Ontario surpassing Alberta's totals.
King shared a special moment he had that really helped to define how important it is for children in need to be supported.
"Off we went to the jungles of El Salvador to this little tin shack with a dirt floor. I got to meet the boy who received a Canadian packed Operation Christmas Child shoebox and I said to the mother 'You know when it's Christmas or it's your son's birthday what do you guys give him for a present and she looked at me and said - we give him a hug'."
Operation Christmas Child is helping throughout the world including children in 100 countries which now including children in Ukraine.
