Halloween...it used to be a time where the only mask we had to worry about was the scream one that matched our costume.

A time where the only sanitizing we did was washing the face paint off our face at the end of the night.

And the only candy we worried about was the nasty half opened one at the bottom of our bag.

Oh the good ole days, but just because Halloween is going to look a little different this year doesn't mean it's not going to be fun!

I've seen a couple of different way's people have adapted to make Halloween happen this year and I love it!

1. The Candy Chute:

This is such a cool idea. Keeps that 6ft distance between you and trick or treaters and lets be real...who doesn't want to get their candy from a magical candy slide. FUN.

Okotoks Cinemas does a wicked demo of this: https://www.instagram.com/p/CGWPndCh1Om/?igshid=190jgd7wa22gg

2. Don't be Spooked to Rock the Mask:

As your outside you defs don't have to wear a mask while trick or treating but hey! If it gives you peace of mind (and more pieces of candy) rock that mask with your costume!

(lol these are my siblings - very excited for Halloween, as you can see, and reppin their covid/non covid masks happily.)

3. Halloween at Home:

Invite a small group of people over and let the kids party in the comfort of your home. Our friend Michelle is celebrating this way:

4. Spooky Scavenger Hunt:

Another great way to entertain the kiddies. Get them to hunt for their candy in your backyard. I don't think it matters how they get the candy, as long as they get it on Halloween lol.

5. Boo! Your Close Friends:

Nicky Nicky Nine Doors but with a twist! (trust me y'all 2020 has been hard enough we don't need any tricks on Halloween). Leave a bag of treats, a pumpkin (or some wine) on a friends doorstep, knock and then RUN! Spread some boo's this year.

Let me know how you're spending Halloween this year! Drop your plans in the comments!

And HAVE FUN. It is Halloween after all.
