There was a great match-up this weekend in the AJHL.

The Okotoks Oilers and Brooks Bandits had a home-and-home series, Friday in Okotoks and Saturday in Brooks.

But the Bandits are always tough to beat and with a depleted Oilers lineup they were even tougher.

The Bandits opened the scoring at 12:21 of the opening period and never looked back beating the Oilers 5-1.

And while the Oilers opened the scoring in the rematch on Satuday night in Brooks the Bandits poured it on taking the game 8-3.

However, the Oil were down to only 17 players for the game, including eight regulars and two affiliate players out of the lineup.

Okotoks is now 5 points behind Drumheller and Camrose for second place in the AJHL South, with an extra game played over both of those teams.
