The Saskatoon Berry Farm was the setting for Highwood MLA Wayne Anderson's nomination contestant kick off yesterday evening.

Nancy Murdoch, MLA Anderson's Financial Agent, says the event was a great way to start the UCP Highwood Constituency nomination process.

"He's been here for along time, so this is his stomping grounds. Wayne will do a party any chance he gets," she said with a chuckle.

Murdoch says the upcoming boundary change when the election is called will be happily embraced by Highwood's current MLA.

"The boundaries will be changing with the drop of the writ. Wayne was representing Okotoks and High River up until this point. His area will now include Okotoks, Black Diamond and Turner Valley, so that's different. Wayne's really excited about that," she said.

MLA Anderson invited his friends, team and fellow supporters to join him and his wife for a night of entertainment, refreshments and conversation to fire up the beginning of contestant nominations.
