UPDATE: Highway 23 and Township Road 130 has since reopened to traffic and RCMP provided an update stating the collision was between one pickup truck and a semi.
Claresholm and Vulcan RCMP were on the scene of a fatal collision between two pick-up trucks at Highway 23 and Township Road 130 on Wednesday.
That section of the highway has now reopened in both directions.
The RCMP were asking people to avoid the area and find an alternative route around the collision.
RCMP Collision Analysts continue their investigation into the cause.
