A local teacher is a finalist for a child care award.
Aileen Puurveen-Abma runs the "Kids Are Special Daycare" in High River.
She is being recognized for providing outstanding early childhood development experiences for children.
The 50 finalists were chosen out of 200 nominations...eight will be awarded on June 16th.
