Small towns can't run without the support and efforts of its volunteers.

The Town of High River took time out to honour those who go above and beyond to give their time Thursday night.

Awards were handed out in four major categories:

The Youth Volunteer of the Year is Kendah Elwan while in the Adult category the award went to Jeff Hamilton the man behind the Pump Track project.

In the Senior category the award went to Bruce Beauchamp with the the Bike Program and in the Business category the Meals On Wheels senior program was honoured.

The stellar evening was hosted by Sun Country and AM1140's own Charlie Brown.
