According to Alberta Agriculture and Forestry's weekly Crop Report for September 5, about 32 percent of crops are in the bins in Alberta.

Southern Alberta is about 70 percent complete harvest, and harvest progress in the North East, North West and Peace Regions are behind the five year average because of a delay in crop maturity.

The Northern regions did see some moisture, but only enough to cause minimal harvest delays.

In Southern Alberta, 80 percent of hard red spring wheat is grading #1 or #2 CW, and 66 percent of canola is grading 1-Can.

The yield index in the region has also declined to 72.6 percent.
