Okotoks barrel racer Deb Guelly finally broke through and into the top six at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas Wednesday night picking up her first paycheque of the week.

She finished with a 14.17 second time, good enough for sixth spot at a cheque for $4,231.

Cochrane cowboy Tanner Milan did even better as he was third in steer wrestling which was good for $15,654.

Big Valley saddlebronc rider Zeke Thurston and Cadogan, Alberta bareback rider Clint Laye both finished just outside of the money in seventh spot in their go-rounds.
