The community came together to help raise the roof for the united way.

Jayme Hall, Eagle 100.9 Morning Show Host and Program Director, and Mark Doherty, Community Events Coordinator with the Town of Okotoks, spent from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon on the Okotoks Sobeys rooftop to help raise funds and awareness for the United Way.

This was the second year in a row Doherty and Hall have camped on the Sobeys roof for the charity.

Doherty says many groups came together to help make the event happen.

"It was a great weekend, certainly a lot of support from the community," he says. "We're not sure what our final numbers are, we know we're up from last year... you can't do something like this without a lot of great support."

Hall and Doherty had plenty of visitors stop by and say hello during their weekend stay on the Okotoks Sobeys roof.

The campers weren't short for food over their weekend stay with plenty of treats brought to them from the George, Cobs Bread, Pizza Hut, Browns Social House, and Ricky's.

Doherty says a bit of uncooperative weather wasn't enough to bring them down.

"For the most part the weather was good, a little cool night on Friday night and a bit of a wind Saturday night, we probably can't fix that tent that blew away, but it's all worth it at the end of the day just to see our community come together and support such a great cause."
