It's a full day of training for Foothills Search and Rescue crews next Saturday in Turner Valley.

Foothills Search and Rescue teams are staging a mock rescue on October 19th from 7am to 5pm in and around the Turner Valley Golf Club.

Residents may notice the extra people in town as they are expecting 35 to 40 participants for the training exercise.

Arrangements have been made for traffic control with signage and flagging people stationed at key locations around the town to help with the flow of traffic.

There will be some street closures and limited access for motorists. The search area is limited to the south side of the Sheep River, bordered by Decalta Road, 16th Avenue and the east Municipal boundary. Imperial Dr. SE will be temporarily closed between the east side of the entrance to the Gateway Villas and the turnaround.

Motorists are asked to obey all signage and follow directions from site personnel.
