Foothills County has upgraded its recent Fire Restriction to a Fire Ban.

That means any existing open fires must be extinguished, and all permits have been suspended.

Any outdoor fires that do not require permits are included, with fireworks, residential/campsite firepits, and wood pellet smokers among them.

The ban does not apply to indoor fires like fireplaces, fuel BBQs, and flames tables.

It'll remain in place until the county sees significant moisture to the point where it's safe enough to be lifted.
