Open Farm Days is back for its tenth go-round this summer.

The CEO of the Alberta Association of Agricultural Societies, Tim Carson, says food producers have a great deal to show off...

"They're great stewards of the land and they understand the technology and how we feed the world, we are very blessed in Alberta and really our grow creates some best food in the world," he says.

There have been as many as 150 farms taking part in the past.

"It's been a tremendous growing program, we're very fortunate to be able to continue through the pandemic, obviously not our highest years for host farms, but certainly some of the most unique programs that happened during that time."

Open Farm Days is a two-day event that allows Albertans to get out of the cities to meet the amazing producers who put food on their tables and provides unique tourism experiences.

Tuesday, May 31 is the deadline to sign up as a host farm for Open Farm Days which go August 13 and 14, 2022.
