You might notice a grocery bag on your house door handle from now until Friday.

It's the huge annual food drive put on by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

And after a long hot summer the shelves are looking bare in both High River and Okotoks.

In High River you'll notice the yellow No Frills grocery bags while in Okotoks you'll notice grocery bags labelled as 'Okotoks Food Bank'.

Members of the church will then return to pick up the bags from your doorstep this Saturday, Sept. 17.

All the donations go directly to the food banks in both communities.

Remember to check 'best before' dates before adding them to your donation bag.
