The High River Flyers are slowly starting to gear up for their training camp which gets going next weekend.

General Manager Vince Miller says they're generating plenty of interest among players and should have a full boat when camp starts.

"Well, we had a really good spring camp. We had about 50 players show up. And there's a number of those that have already registered for our fall camps. So I think we're looking pretty good. We've got some returning players who will be a part of that group and I think things are looking good going forward here."

Miller says they want to return to the form they showed two season's ago where they were a force to be reckoned with in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League.

But he says they'll need one key ingredient that was missing last year.

"Oh, obviously scoring is something that is really important that we struggled with a bit last year. I think there's a lot of good things that we had last year. But again we never came to our full potential I don't feel."

The Flyers run their camp August 27-29 at the High River Rec-Plex.

They play their first pre-season games September 18 and 20 against the Okotoks Bisons.
