Michael Frolik had a had trick, including a pair of shorthanded goals as the Calgary Flames found some offence, beating the St. Louis Blues 7-4 Monday night at the Dome.

Sean Monahan also had a pair, while Joel Colbourne and Mark Giordano chipped in with singles.

Frolik downplayed his role, saying it was a team effort against a Blues team that was riding a six game winning streak into last nights game.

"You've got to know they've been kind of hot lately and we just said in the room we need to be ready, and it's going to be physical there and it's going to be a hard game. We did a pretty good job on that. We scored a couple of goals and I think it was a good effort from everybody and we deserved the win."

Monahan says it was one of the better games the Flames have played of late.

'We were skating and obviously we capitalized on some chances, that were huge for us. So, I think we played with the lead, we tried to play smart and stay disciplined and work together as a group and that's why we won."

The Flames host the Winnipeg Jets Wednesday.
