Okotoks Finlay Knox may be a familiar name to swim fans as he broke a pair of records in 2020 and even picked up the honours of the 2020 Canadian Male Swimmer of the Year at the "Swammys."

Knox has always had that competitive nature and says when he found out how close he was to breaking the record he knew he could push the limits.

"Once I found out I was 1/100th off of it, I knew I could drop time in certain aspects of the race, my start, my turn, underway, it got me so excited to go back and race again."

Knox says breaking those records was special for him.

"It's amazing, you're kinda putting your name in the history books and setting yourself apart from the rest of Canada."

Knox says 2020 was a year to remember however he's looking forward to 2021, getting back in the water and business as usual.

"We're just going into this year the same as last year, training hard, having fun and seeing what I can do."

Knox will be back with his swim team the Toronto Titans in 2021.
