The Highwood Mustangs football season came to an end at home over the weekend with a 49-14 loss to the Drumheller Titans, Saturday, November 5.

Trailing 22-14 at the half, the Mustangs were still in it, but as Coach Brian Brandford says, three straight turnovers to start the second half was the tale of the tape in this one.

"That was just the game. We talked all week about being able to come out well, and we did. And then we can't afford to make mistakes and kill ourselves. The we give up the fumble on the kick-off, and the pick, and then a turnover on downs, and it just rolled from there."

The Tier II Foothills Falcons on the other hand, beat the Springbank Phoenix 38-7 and now head to the Methanex Bowl in Medicine Hat to face the Mohwaks Saturday, November 12 at 1 P.M.

And the Tier IV Willow Creek Cobras pulled off a 13-3 upset over the W.R. Meyers Fighting Rebels Saturday, November 5 in Taber.

They'll host the Bow Valley Bobcats in the regional semi-finals Saturday, November 12, at 1 P.M. in Claresholm.
