The students at Foothills Composite High School/Alberta High School of Fine Arts Communication Technology class have been hard at work learning how to put together a TV newscast, called FNN, or the Falcon News Network.

They have been working within deadlines and are experiencing first hand the fast paced world of journalism. This includes everything from coming up with story ideas, going out to film and interview, editing, hosting, and more.

These students are owning this TV newscast and they are the only school presently offering this type of TV show in Canada. Comm Tech teacher Benjamin Stevens is  challenging the students more and more with each episode. The students are responding well to the challenges and are striving to fine tune each week and are proud to produce a quality product, not to mention the incentive of bragging rights and awards that are on the line for best journalist.

Here are the first two episodes. We will be posting future episodes as they become available.
