Spoiler alert: we all did. So don't feel bad! 😂

It was unfortunately impossible to see from western Canada AND with those clouds in the Foothills this morning, even if we were supposed to see it, we weren't going to!

But lucky for us we have our friend Jennifer Howse, with the Rothney Astrophysical Observatory, to paint the picture of what we missed.

What were we supposed to see today Jennifer?

The only way we were gonna see this baby, this natural phenomenon, in real time is if we woke up at 4:41 a.m. - that's when the 'ring of fire' illusion was at its peak!

Good thing we have a great live steam that Jennifer suggested of the eclipse at Birr Castle in Ireland...let's recap, shall we?

Wowee, wowee! Pretty snazzy! And if you wish we got to see this annular solar eclipse here in the Foothills, you're in luck!

The next one SHOULD be partially visible to us in southern AB, so get ready and start counting down the days till.....April 2024.

Ya...we got a ways to go lol. But in the meantime Jennifer says this is a great time of year to look up to the night sky for other events.
