Local charity "Baby it's Cold Outside" is looking for nominations for their their Christmas Feast campaign.

Okotoks residents can nominate a family who they think might need a little help this Christmas season. Nominations don't require any sort of monetary donation, just some information about the family. The family will then be contacted, and informed of the nomination. They then plan their Christmas dinner with the charity, and have their Christmas Dinner delivered later in the month.

Pamela Morgan, founder of BCO, says the nomination process is simple.

"All you have to do to nominate a family is really just an act of kindness in the spirit of Christmas. There's multiple ways to connect with us, I just need to know the name of the person you're nominating, their contact information, and where in the Foothills their located. You don't have to do anything, it's just strictly a heartfelt act of kindness that you're looking out for your neighbour and knowing that they might need a little bit of help this season."

The first year of the campaign served 6 families, while last year's campaign served 11 families, totalling 84 people, 26 of them being children.

This is the campaign's third year, with a goal of 30 nominations. The original deadline was December 12th, though BCO has extended it until Monday the 17th. Currently 24 families have been nominated.

Nominations can be made via email at bcohelp@hotmail.com, via text at 403-660-3648, or via Facebook messenger through their Facebook page.

Their official website can be accessed here.
