The Okotoks Dawgs have jumped out to a one-game-to-none lead over the Medicine Hat Mavericks, in their Western Major Baseball League quarter-final.
They took the opening game 6-4 over the Mavs in front of a sell out crowd at Seaman Stadium Sunday night.
Brian Sisler went 4-4 at the plate for the Dawgs.
Dylan Nelson was on the mound for 6 innings, registering 8 strikeouts.
The Dawgs will try to go up two-games-to-none in the best-of-5 series Monday night at 7:05 p.m.
