The Okotoks Dawgs finally managed to win their first road game of the season, as they handed the Fort McMurray Giants a 5-2 loss in Edmonton Wednesday night.

Bruce Yari went 2-for-5 at the plate with a couple of RBI's and a triple, while newcomer Turner Spears was 2-for-4 at the dish.

Another new addition in pitcher Zach Demchenko from the Dawgs Academy went six innings giving up just one run on six hits, while striking out a pair of Giants batters.

Christian Parsons pitched the last three innings getting his third save of the season.

The Dawgs now return home for their next two games Friday and Saturday against the Edmonton Prospects.
