The Dawgs would have a make-up game from a rainout earlier in the season in Sylvan Lake Monday night and the Gulls owned the night winning 11-3.

This was the Dawgs second loss this season where they gave up double-digit runs.

Brendan Luther (Bellevue University, NE) would score his 21st and 22nd RBI on the season in the loss on Monday night, going 2 for 4. Titus Dumitru (New Mexico State, NM) would launch his 4th home run of the season in the 4th inning, going 2 for 4 in the contest. Ricky Sanchez (Barton College, KS) would extend his hitting streak after another 2-hit performance.

Graham Brunner (Emporia State University, KS) would have a short night on the mound lasting 1 inning allowing 5 runs on 7 hits. The Dawgs bullpen would need 4 relievers to get through the rest of the night, allowing 6 runs on 9 hits in the tough loss.

The Dawgs play game 2 of the 3-game series with the Sylvan Lake on Tuesday July 25 with first pitch set for 7:05pm at Seaman Stadium.

The Dawgs will head to Sylvan Lake Wednesday, July 26 for game 3 of the series.
