The Okotoks Dawgs were scheduled to play the Fort McMurray Giants today at Seaman Stadium but due to the weather not playing nice, the game never started.

Fans were in the arena and were hopeful the game would move on, but after pushing it to 8:30, it was decided the ball game was a no-go.

The Dawgs still wanted to put on a show for the fans who did show up, so they did just that by giving them something to cheer about when they ran on the field and slid across the wet tarp.

The Dawgs did announce a make-up game is in the works and will have more information in the coming days.

The Dawgs and Giants will try and play tomorrow at Seaman Stadium as long as the weather brightens up by game time.

The first pitch is at 2:05 pm.
