Crops get the best start in years

Alberta Agriculture says precipitation received during June varied considerably across the province.

In it's latest crop report, the department says heavy rainfall has caused localized flooding in the Southern and
Central regions, while most areas of the Peace Region received only scattered rain showers.

Alberta Agriculture says overall, given favorable moisture conditions, most producers in
the province probably have the best start for their crops in many years.
