As of Wednesday's provincial update, over 5000 Albertans have now recovered from COVID-19.

62 new cases were reported, with 1211 active cases remaining in the province.

70 Albertans are currently being treated in hospital with 11 in intensive care.

With two additional deaths, the total has risen to 120.

Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw announced an outbreak at the Horizon work camp in Fort McMurray, with five confirmed cases.

Proper precautions are being taken, with testing being offered to workers regardless of symptoms.

23 active cases remain among workers at the Cargill plant North of High River, with 924 recoveries.

There are 15 active cases at the JBS plant with 620 recoveries, and 10 active cases at Harmony Beef with 30 recoveries.

Premier Jason Kenney also appeared at the beginning of the province to announce that stage one of the province's relaunch would move forward on May 14th, though a gradual transition will be made in Calgary and Brooks.
