Protests against the tree removal at Ethel Tucker Park continue this morning.

Concerned residents are on-site and work crews have put up a fence surrounding the area.

A number of residents at the park say they are there today over concerns in regards to an owl known to the area and birds of prey.

RCMP, Municipal Enforcement, and Kelly Steinwand, Director of Protective Services for the Town, are at the park speaking with residents.

Town Council has elected to hold a public hearing as part of their April 27th meeting.

Submissions for the public hearing are being accepted until April 22nd.
