The Foothills Composite sent out their sports awards earlier this week and while they missed out on a number of summer sports due to COVID-19 they were still able to give out around 45 awards.

Head Athletic Director at the Composite Curt Colfer says they had to do things a bit different this year compared to last for obvious reasons.

"This year we couldn't do our normal awards night so we went to virtual award and had the kids come into the school to pick up their awards, We thought it was really important to recognize the time and effort the kids put into the season so what we ended up doing was having a date where kids could come in a pick them up, we wanted to deliver them but were not able to do that because of COVID so we made sure the awards were clean and just gave them to each student."

Colfer says they have had a decent amount of students come in and get their award already.

"It was tricky to get to everybody but we've had a good turn out so far, around 70 percent came and picked up their awards which was good cause I could congratulate them and let them know they had a great year and we were happy with their efforts.
