Can you believe Stampede is 36 days away?

With Kevin Costner announced as the Stampede Parade Marshal earlier this week and the big event so soon, I think it's safe to say it's officially time to get into the Stampede Spirit!

And what better way to do that then the Calgary Stampede Community Round-Up presented by ENMAX at the Calvary FC Fieldhouse this Saturday. (June 4)

Now, we know there's a lot going on in the community this Saturday but DEFINITELY make time for the round-up.

Pamela Humphreys, Second Vice Chair with the Community Projects and Development Committee, gave us the 411 on what to expect!

"This is a free family event which has free pancakes , face painters, music, dancing , animals and a whole bunch of activations for kids and adults to enjoy."

This year Stampede is back in full swing so it's only right to get people in the spirit a month out.

"This is our first time since 2019 that we've been able to celebrate on a scale like this in advance of Stampede since 2019 so we're super excited to just get out into the community and have a really great time with everyone who is coming out for this event."

And other than the pancake breakfasts, Humphreys answered this when asked what she is most looking forward to this year.

"Just being down there, and just having the crowds and excitement. I mean they've started announcing some of the lineups and the entertainment that's coming. The parade is back on this year, I think it's going to be electric in the city for those ten days and it's pretty exciting that we're actually able to do this and Stampede 2022 I'm sure is going to be one for the books!"

Many of the 2,500 Stampede volunteers and 28 Stampede committees will be also making an appearance at the Fieldhouse this Saturday and look forward to seeing you!

And remember Stampede is not just a ten day event, it's around 365 days of the year!
