The COBS Bread in Okotoks held their annual barbeque raising funds for The Foothills Country Hospice on Sunday, August 12th! The Birthday Cake Scones were once again out for the public to enjoy - these special delicacies are sold only once a year on the bakery's birthday so if you have not already done so, rush over to COBS Bread Okotoks to snag the delicious treats!

Lee Hodgins, the co-owner of the Okotoks' COBS, smiling as he prepares some delicious burgers!

The Eagle Street Team headed over in the morning to celebrate COBS' 5th anniversary in Okotoks and enjoy some treats in support of The Foothills Country Hospice as all donations will be going directly to the Hospice. One lucky individual also got to win FREE bread for a year with their donation! What a fun day - from dancing with Breadhead to enjoying some treats, it was all a big success!

A big thanks to Lee and Kelly Hodgins for having the Eagle Street Team in attendance - we had a wonderful time dancing with Breadhead and more than enjoyed the Birthday Cake Scones!

Hope you liked the pictures and be sure to join us again, this time next year for the 6th anniversary of COBS Bread in Okotoks!

Catch the Eagle Summer Street Team at our next adventure: Pop Up in the Park on Saturday, August 18th, 2018! The fourth annual Pop Up event is completely free and open to all Okotoks families to celebrate local talent and observe their fantastic stage performances! This year, the event will be held at Minue Park in Westmount, surrounded by Westmount Way and Westland Street. Hope to see you there!

Also be sure to enter for your chance to win the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 at www.ridetheram.com! Place Okotoks - Eagle 100.9 as your preferred station to help us out as well!

Finally, if you are interested in having the Eagle cover a community event, please do not hesitate to contact me, the summer events coordinator, at skshatriya@goldenwestradio.com. It is my hope that we can collaborate together in pursuit of a more connected community!
