The Centre Street bridge in High River is going to be closing this Sunday, May 7.
It's for the annual cleaning and testing of the flood gate and it should only take a couple of hours.
The bridge will be closed from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. while crews do their work.
Barricades will be placed at the intersections of Centre St. and Macleod Trail and Centre St. at High Country Drive.
The sidewalk on the Centre St. bridge will also be closed to pedestrians.
The town is asking you take an alternate route during the two hours the bridge is closed.
And the town says you're welcome to come and watch the work being done and staff from their Protective Services team will be on hand to answer any questions however you're asked to please respect the barriers in place to ensure safety for everyone.
