A Calgary man was killed early Sunday morning coming home from the High River rodeo dance.
The 25-year-old man had done all the right things, calling a pair of friends to pick him up after the dance.
Just south of the Okotoks overpass the driver swerved to miss a deer and the vehicle rolled.
The deceased was wearing his seat belt while his friends were thrown from the vehicle.
They were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol was not a factor and RCMP stress it's usually safer to be restrained during a rollover.
The man's name has not been released.
