The Okotoks Bisons are smack in the middle of a dogfight in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League's South Division.

They trail the first place Cochrane Generals by three points, but a six game winning streak from the Generals makes playing catch-up tough.

That's why Bisons GM Jay McFarlane says getting four points in their two games this weekend is critical.

"Cochrane is hot, they're on a role. We're content with what we're doing here. We're not perfect, but we're moving in the right direction. And peaking at the right time is always key. And there's certainly plenty of time before playoffs begin for us to get to where we want to be."

The Bisons are in Three Hills Saturday and then home to Medicine Hat Sunday afternoon.

In the meantime, the High River Flyers, who've been showing signs of life lately, have a tough weekend ahead as they host Coaldale Friday and then go to Cochrane to face the Generals Saturday.
