The Okotoks Bisons season has been a rollercoaster of stops and starts and this most recent AHS announcement put the whole season on hold.

Bisons head coach Chris Beston says it's a tough situation for the team and the league as it sets them back even further.

"It's definitely upsetting, we don't know when we'll be back at it, the government has a tentative come back of November 27th but with everyone being gone for that long its going to take a while for everyone to be back into shape and back into game shape."

Beston says with their season already being shortened no-one wants to lose any more games however it isn't out of the realm of possibility

"I don't know if we want to cut out any more games this season but I understand with the time of everything that there could be more games cut out of it"

The Bisons were slated to play the Lomond Lakers on November 22nd which has since been cancelled however their next weekend had a game on the 27th a likely scratch off the calendar as well however no official word on which games will be played.

Beston and Bisons won't be able to stay in shape as a team either as all team events have been cancelled including off-ice training.

AHS's cancellation doesn't seem to be unwarranted however Beston says it seems unfair to the kids who are just wanting to play hockey

"I think they are punishing the wrong people, the kids aren't the ones causing the virus and I think taking away their sport is disappointing for everybody."
