The Okotoks Bisons Thanksgiving weekend run started out shaky with the loss to Blackfalds Wranglers on Friday night.

The Bisons made up for that loss on Saturday night when they took on the Airdrie Thunder and won in a shootout. The Bisons then finished the weekend off by being the victors in the battle of the Foothills.

Forward Kyle Harrison worked hard over the weekend and was able to help his team get those two wins. Harrison says that the hard work the team has put in is a big part of what got them those two wins.

"We have all started to find that chemistry on the ice, and we were lucky enough to get some pucks in the back of the net."

Harrison says that even after Friday's loss the team went on Saturday and Sunday's game focused and ready.

"You have to go in with the same principal of working hard, and stick to your good habits and good things will come."

Harrison is one of the youngest players on the Bisons, being 17 still and playing in the league with 18 to 21 being the primary age.

Harrison says that even though he is the youngest and one of the few that has to wear a cage, he always know that when he goes onto the ice, he has the team behind him.

"I know that if anyone tries to mess with me, there is a team full of guys that are willing tot stick up for me, and I feel confident going on the ice know I have a great team with me."
